Yes, the plans are made… Though, I haven’t made any bookings or reservations yet, I’m still waiting for the South Korean government to left quarantine regulation for incoming travellers.
Today, I heard on Arirang News that the SK government has announced a plan to “facilitate vaccination verification for those who have received their COVID19 inoculation outside South Korea”. I’m hoping that they will also approve the European Vaccination certificate and possibly give incoming travellers proof of vaccination bases on such document.
Nevertheless, I think we are slowly coming out of this pandemic world-wide, and finally can start making stress-free plans to go abroad. Of course, vaccination certificates, or proof of vaccination, will become less important when the number of vaccinations increases in South Korea and infection rates drop.
So, currently I’m planning 2 April for my trip to Korea, but I will hold off any booking and reservation for now and see how it evolves over there. I expect to start sending out my booking orders by December. If for some reason it is still not clear that quarantine regulation have been lifted, or will be lifted by April next year, my second choice will be late September 2022.
